This covers spokelings.com: the email list, Spokelings accounts, and riding in the browser.
The email list
Your email address, when you signed up, and which link you came from, so we can tell which post brought you.
If you answer the optional questions after signing up: whether you have a smart trainer or smart bike and which one, what you ride with now, which description fits you, what you'd ride first, whether you'd test new builds, and anything you wrote in the last box. Skip them and none of that is kept.
Your account
If you create an account to ride: your email address, the rider name you choose, and your password stored only as a scrambled hash we can't read back. Also when you created the account and last logged in.
While you're logged in, one cookie (spk_session) keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. It's needed for the account to work and is used for nothing else. Logging out removes it.
Riding with others
When you ride while logged in, your rider name, your creature, where you are on the road, your speed, power and cadence are sent to the other riders on the same road, live, so they can see you. These live numbers aren't stored.
On your device
The game remembers your settings (units, weight, FTP) and the last few workouts you rode in your own browser. That never leaves your device.
What we don't do
We don't keep your IP address or browser details. There are no analytics, trackers or advertising, and no cookies other than the login one above.
Why
To run Spokelings and your account, to email you about Spokelings, and to understand who wants it and on what equipment. Nothing else. It's never sold or shared, and never used for any other Huvolve product.
Where
In a Microsoft Azure storage account in the United States, which only Huvolve can read. Live riding passes through a Huvolve server in Azure in the United States.
How long
Until you ask us to remove it, or until Spokelings stops. If it stops, we'll email once to say so, then delete everything.
Removing it
Email spokelings@huvolve.com from the address you used and we'll delete your list entry, your account, or both. Every email we send will say the same.
